The Smallest FDX-B PIT Tag
The 1.4 mm × 8.5 mm FDX-B PIT tag is the smallest ISO-compliant transponder UID offers, roughly 25% the volume of a standard 13 mm tag. Encapsulated in biocompatible glass, it carries a unique 128-bit ID and scans reliably with UID ISO readers. Designed for fish, amphibians, and small mammals where a 13 mm tag is too large.

A Small Tag for Small Species
At 1.4 mm in diameter and 8.5 mm long, this tag allows implantation in species that have historically been too small to mark individually — juvenile salmonids, small-bodied amphibians, shrews, lizards. The size difference from a standard 13 mm tag is significant: it's roughly a quarter of the volume.
The biocompatible glass capsule and passive design keep the implant profile low and the animal's welfare impact minimal. No battery. No maintenance. The ID persists for the life of the animal.
