Does the USI-1 come pre-loaded with a microchip?
No. The USI-1 is just the injector. You'll still need to purchase microchips separately.

Is it single-use?
Not unless your lab requires it. Typically they are reused.

When should I use the USI-1 instead of a pistol-grip injector like the UPGI-Q?
It is ultimately user preference. Most labs purchase both because some users prefer one versus the other.
