Common Questions
-
What tags does the URH-2 read?
It reads low-frequency ISO 11784/11785 FDX-B PIT tags and supported FDX-A formats. That includes UID's 1.4 × 8.5 mm and 2.1 × 12 mm PIT tags and compatible tags from other manufacturers.
-
How does the read get to my computer?
Over USB, using HID keyboard or serial output. In HID mode, the tag number drops into whichever spreadsheet or database field has focus, just as a barcode scanner types.
-
Can I use it in the water or underwater?
The URH-2 is IP54 rated for dust and splashing water, but it is not designed for submersion. If you need IP67 protection, choose the URH-300HP.
-
Which reader should I use for longer range or antenna work?
Choose the URH-300HP when you need 6–8 inches of read range, HDX support, or the URH-PLEX antenna for underwater scanning.
