AnyCage Lite uses the UID UCT-2112 temperature-sensing microchip — the same implantable transponder used across UID's lab animal identification line. Each chip supports ±0.1°C accuracy across 30–46°C, and every reading is tied to a specific animal's ID. Sensor plates can show activity in a cage; AnyCage Lite ties temperature back to the animal.
The system is plug-and-play USB, designed for labs running single-cage studies or small cohorts. Each reader sits at the cage. No dedicated controller. No server. Plug a reader into a lab workstation, open the Data Collector software, and you can start logging continuous temperature data the same day.
AnyCage Lite supports up to eight readers per PC, so you can start with one cage and grow into a larger cohort as the project does. Each additional reader is $300, so expansion stays incremental and predictable.
