This cable connects your antenna to your base station reader. It comes in 2 m and 3 m lengths with male ends on both sides, and we build custom runs for benches and racks that need something different.

Common Questions
-
Is this the same cable as the 1-meter AnyCage cable?
No. This is the UAC-2M for the base-station reader line. The AnyCage antenna cables used with AnyCage Lite and AnyCage+ are a different product, with different connectors and a different reader family.
-
Does the base-station reader come with a cable?
Yes, for the antenna it ships with. The UBS-200L base station includes a 6-foot attachable antenna wand. Order the UAC-2M when you add a separate square antenna wand or 12-inch stick antenna to the same reader, or when a cable needs replacing.
-
Can I get a longer cable than 2 meters?
Yes. 2 m and 3 m are the standard lengths, and we build custom runs for layouts that need something else. Tell us the distance from the reader to where the antenna has to sit and we'll confirm the right length before you order. Don't splice one yourself.
-
I'm getting intermittent reads. Is the cable the problem?
Often, yes. A kinked or pinched cable, or a connector that's been bent, produces exactly that symptom. Swap in a known-good cable as the first troubleshooting step, before you suspect the antenna or the reader.
-
Will it work with a URH handheld reader?
No. The URH-1HP and URH-2 read through their own integrated antennas, so there is nothing for this cable to connect to. The URH-300HP does take an external antenna, but that is the telescoping URH-PLEX, not this part. The UAC-2M is a base station accessory for the UBS-200L and UBC-600.
Stocking Spares for a Base Station Setup?
A worn antenna cable is a common cause of intermittent reads in long-running base-station setups. If you're outfitting a new vivarium or building a maintenance kit, we can quote in volume.
