The Hardware That Replaces the Paper Log
The CSI-360 mounts right on the cabinet where the controlled substances are stored. A tech badges in, takes the vial, weighs it on the scale, and the software logs the dispense.
- Badge in, weigh, done — two-factor login with an RFID badge, card, fob, or wristband plus a PIN, then the scale captures the dispensed amount by weight.
- The record writes itself — authenticated user, item, amount, notes, and timestamp on every dispense.
- Weighed, not estimated — the dispensed amount is captured from the scale, not read from a partially drawn syringe.
- Logged to the animal — select the animal the dose went to as part of the transaction, and it follows into the audit trail and the reports.
What's in the System
There are four pieces that make up the CSI-360 system: the electronic lock, the digital scale, the kiosk with its RFID reader, and the CSI-360 software.
Bolt It onto Your Cabinet, or Order a Pre-Built CSI-360
Every configuration runs the same lock, reader, scale, and software. The only decision is what it mounts to, the CSI-360 can be mounted on your already existing cabinet or you can purchase a UID cabinet or safe.
- Retrofit — The CSI-360 can be installed on most manufacturers' DEA-compliant cabinets, safes, refrigerators, and freezers.
- UID cabinet — 18" x 27" x 8", single or dual door, shipped with the system installed.
- UID safe — 22" x 35" x 21", single or dual door, also shipped with the system installed.
Connect Cabinets Together
Multiple cabinets can share a single database. Inventory, animal records, credentials, transaction history, and more are visible at each cabinet.
How CSI-360 Makes Auditing Easier
Built-in reports cover six categories: drug items, items, cabinets, users, animals, and inventory audits. Preview a selected date range and export to PDF, Excel, CSV, or HTML formats. Reports can be delivered via email or saved to the USB flash drive provided with the CSI-360.
- Per-animal dose history — the Animal Report lists every dose transaction tied to one animal over any date range.
- Disposal audit trail — the Disposition Report covers everything disposed within a chosen range.
- Expiration triage — cabinet inventory grouped by Ok, About to Expire, and Expired.
- Build your own — Custom Inventory and Custom Usage reports let you pick the filters and fields, then save that setup as a preset for future reports.
- Report Presets — once you setup a report the way you like it, you can save it as a preset and use that preset again later.

Can we use our existing DEA-compliant cabinet or safe?
Yes. The CSI-360 can be installed on a DEA-compliant cabinet at your facility. If you would prefer to start fresh you can also purchase a pre-made cabinet with the CSI-360 system already on it from us.

Why weigh the dose instead of reading the syringe?
Reading from a partially drawn syringe can lose accuracy when compared to a full draw. To maintain the most accurate readings on how much of a drug is used for a procedure, the CSI-360 uses a scale to weigh a controlled substance before and after a transaction.

How does the two-factor login work?
A tech presents an RFID badge, card, fob, or wristband, then enters a PIN. The lock releases only after both check out. Then the user can get access to the CSI-360 system.

Can we require two people to open the cabinet?
Yes. Multi-User Authentication requires two authorized users to log in before the cabinet opens, and both logins are recorded and can be shown on reports. That puts a witness on the dispense, enforced by the lock instead of a signature line.

How does multi-cabinet networking work?
The CSI-360 can operate as a single cabinet, or be networked to work with other CSI-360s at your facility. This allows inventory, users, animals, etc to be shared across all the CSI-360s across you facility.

Does the CSI-360 replace the rest of our DEA paperwork?
No. The CSI-360 automates the dispensing record: who dispensed, what, how much, and when. Your facility still files receipt records (DEA Form 222 or CSOS), witnesses and documents waste, and conducts the biennial physical inventory required under 21 CFR 1304 — the cabinet's running balance gives you the number to check that count against.

Is the CSI-360 itself "DEA compliant"?
Something has to be, and that something is your facility — DEA compliance belongs to the registrant, not to a cabinet, a logbook, or a piece of software. The CSI-360 is a tool that makes staying compliant vastly easier: measured dispenses, per-user access, and reports on demand. But like any control, it has to be used. No product can be your compliance for you.

Does it track more than controlled drugs?
The same RFID-labeled, weighed, and logged workflow applies to any high-value item you'd want under the same accountability. That includes reagents, surgical implants, and other controlled-access assets, in addition to Schedule II–V substances.
