Common Questions

  • Which readers does the dock fit?

All URH-2 readers including ISO and Bluetooth variations.

  • What does it plug into?

The dock connects to the reader over USB-C and runs on standard USB power, so a port on a PC, a charging brick, or a powered hub all work for connecting to the dock and charging your reader.

  • The URH-2 charges over its own USB cable. Why add a dock?

Charging is the same either way; the difference is where the reader lives between scans. A loose reader and a loose cable migrate between rooms, and a reader that was never plugged back in could be dead by the next time it's needed. The dock gives the reader a fixed spot to charge automatically the moment it's set down.

Adding Microchip Readers to Your Lab?

Most teams put a dock wherever a reader gets used, so chargers and readers stop moving between procedure rooms. Call us to talk about the right reader and dock setup for your facility.
