On the Maturation of Circadian Rhythms in Core Body Temperature in Mice

Krishna, Vaishnav., et al. 2026

Poster presentation at the 150th Annual Meeting American Neurological Association

Summary

This poster followed core-temperature rhythms in group-housed wild-type mice from peri-weaning through adulthood. Minute-by-minute data showed circadian amplitude gradually increasing with age, midline temperature declining especially in males, and measures of daily stability and within-day fragmentation maturing before reaching a plateau. The UID Mouse Matrix read implanted UCT-2112 temperature transponders across eight cage zones without handling the mice.
